 My 1953 Spanish m43/k98

1953 Build date, all numbers match for what its worth. This is a the La Coruna Spanish M43, 8x57. No import marks. Someone already cut down the stock to be a sporter.

Something I thought a bit odd, this gun was built well after the Spanish refit their old M43s to FR8s, (very cool looking mausers), all switching over to .308 as trainers for CETME machine guns.

I'm thinking that looks like a nice hog gun. I built one from a 98 action with a military 8x57 barrel for just that purpose. I'm thinking a scout scope on the original rear sight mount would be the next thing to do. kwg

Numrich has stock and handguard sets if you have an interest in restoring it.
