 Looking for a tapered boar
who sells one?

Looking for someone to make a tapered boar barrel? I would like it a 357.5 to 358 and tapered down to a 356 or 356.5. Just looking to increase velocities by a better seal. A twist rate of 1-14 would be helpful too.

A pig that's fat on one end and skinny on the other.

444, I don't know of anyone making tapered bore barrels for general sale, but you could make your own by lapping a barrel in only one direction. I have no earthly idea how much work that would be, but I feel confident that it could be done.

444 welcome aboard, some custom barrel makers do tapered bores, try pac/nor or kreiger to start.

Thanks for the info
I do apologize

I did not specify that it is needed in a 8 inch here. I have been posting everywhere and got in a rush.
What myself and others are looking to a performance upgrade for our Dan Wesson revolvers. As we grow weary of FA in the top placing. I got the job of gun forums, and superdan got the job of contacting manufactures, and 788 will make them.
We have a need for a tapered and 1-14 twist barrel for one tester, and also looking for a 26 in 357 dia. with the 1 in 14 twist to cut up for 3 test guns.

I talked to superdan last night and was told walther, kieger and others only offer a 355 dia. I will tell him about the pac/nor. We are looking for very high quality, as these barrels are going to be strapping some very hot loads for the model 15-2 357 magnum and the model 40 and 740 357 maximum for IHMSA competitions.

CZ will not help us develop one, so the forum will.

I will check back here soon, or I can be found on the DW forum as maximumload. I will stay on here after our little quest, as I do have some mausers nothing to exciting as the both are Turks.
And thank you for your input on the lapping and pac/nor.

P.S. Sorry about the boar thing, just in to much of a hurry and spring is coming, and they to be ready by then, If they work out as planned.
