What is the rate of twist in the k98 7.62 Israeli Mauser Question

I don't know. But if you have the rifle you can answer your own question with a cleaning rod-tight patch-pencil, and ruler.


Start tight patch into bore at least several inches, mark rod with pencil at muzzle. Also make straight line down lenght of rod. Slowly push rod into bore until it makes one revolution. Mark rod at muzzle again. Withdraw rod from muzzle and measure distance between marks. You have now determined rate of twist. Wink
