Bosko's 1891 Argentine , Bosko says he wasn't able to find an inexpensive
stock so he modified the original. The finish is about 8 coats of Birchwood
Tru Oil, a most forgiving product. he forged the bolt to spoon shape in
keeping with the Mannlicher-style stock. It's a nice light (about 6.5#)
carbine and shoots pretty well. The target is with the aperture sights,
from sandbags, using Norma factory loads at 100yds. I'd scope it but I
kind of like the handiness as is. I'm going to load up some appropriate
bullet weights and use it for antelope this fall. Thanks for the opportunity
to show off; thanks again, Bosko.
Thanks for the pics ! Uh can I send you my military
stocks to modify :) lol NICE JOB !
